Our grandfather bought the Halbstadt store in 1919 and our family began selling appliances in 1950. Grandpa owned the store until 1957 when he sold it to his three sons; Henry, Charlie and Dave. In 1978 we bought a building on Main Street in Altona and opened our first appliance only store. We sold and serviced appliances there until we built a new shop at our present location in 1982....
